Why are people always tend to assume things? WHY? I don't get it. Ok, maybe if they ask and I say NO, I think they should stop at that point and drop the subject. I've been a victim of that lately.
Yesterday, while waiting for UP to arrive in the IMC, we watched Centerstage to keep us Junior Students sane. It's about ballet.
Karla: Diba nag ballet ka?
Min: Hindi.
Karla: WEH? Hindi nga.
Min: Hindi nga. Swear.
Karla: Mukha kasi eh.
This isn't the first time I've been thought of as a bellerina. Or a gymnast. There was this one time, during Palihan, they pulled me out from class along with my ballerina classmates namely, Cy, Mimi, Vane, and Nats. Turns out, we will dance. I violently protested of course.
Min: Why ME?? Lahat kaya sila ballerinas!!!
Kat: Eh nag ballet ka rin naman eh!
Min: Sino nagsabi?! I don't wanna dance frickin' ballet!!
*I walk out*
I am NOT a ballerina. I have no grudges against ballerinas but I'm just not. Ok?
Another absurd identity that people are throwing at me is being an emcee. This past few weeks, Mrs.Sacdalan announces non stop in the PA System the audtion dates for emcees for Bandfest. Surprisingly, most in the classroom was asking me to audition. Despite the persuation they did, I didn't audition. And the results came in just yesterday. Gabrielle got in! Yehey. But after announcing, they seem to be blaming me for not auditioning. Epal. Haha. It's MY choice ok? I have my reasons. I'm part of the Bandfest Committee so with that, it's given that I'm gonna be really busy during Feb 8. And being an emcee on top of that would really be difficult. I promise, I'll try considering of trying out next year.
