I'm dying to explain my heart to you now.

12/27/07

Today while Me, Den and Cel we're hanging out at Cel's house after a frustrating trip to Trinoma[for me at least] we all decided upon one thing. We all wanted to be a rockstar. Yes, an actual rockstar. Maybe not to the extent of living up the sterotype: drug, sex and alcohol. You know, just to feel like one. And we all thought about having or being in a band. That would be totally cool. Ignoring the fact that I'm not really the musically inclined type of girl. Yeah, I already took guitar lessons for the whole summer last last year. And I tell you, I never oncee held another guitar after that. Not that I didn't want to. It's just that no situation called for it. And about my singing voice? I couldn't sing even if Sir DM's life was at stake. That's how B-A-D I am.

God damn it. I wanna be a rockstar. Seriously. Raaar. If I grow up, I'm picturing me giving out my credit card to people in a shiny, black paper reading out: Carmina A. Buenviaje and below it is where the word "Full-time Rockstar" will be placed. Ooh snap.

^The closest thing I'll ever be to becoming a rockstar. Haha.

THIS IS WHERE MY TRADEMARK SAYING WILL COME IN.

I ROCK, YOU ROLL.

Christmas went by so fast. It wasn't really the most fun Christmas I've had since 1. Mom's not here, 2.Babang's Family isn't here[I miss my cousins] and 3.Gift giving ain't in the scene anymore. I've had better Christmas. Nonetheless, I still tried to grasp the whole concept of the true meaning of Christmas. Whatever that is. Yes, gifts aren't that important. It just signifies our being plain materialistic. Yes, giving is better than receiving. And yes, maliit si Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. HAHA. Joke.

Christmas Eve was more fun than the actual Christmas Day itself. A wee bit better. But this year's Christmas, Alcid Clan broke our tradition of the annual eating in some house that lasted since..forever. I guess this happened because of the lack of family members. Alcid side is a REALLY small family. So take a family and my Mum out and we're a batallion no more. So yesterday, we cruised along Timog Ave. looking for any restaurants that's opened despite the need for their staff to be with their families. After forever, we were able to land in the parking lot of Gerry's Grill just outside ABS-CBN. After which, we persuaded Auntie Margie into treating us AGAIN dessert in Iceberg's. Of course, youth succeeded. Hahaha!

After pigging out, we had to stop by at SM Centerpoint to lament with Kuya Joshua, our cousin who sadly, had to work that day. We brought him food and we invaded the Sun Shop there. We filed complaints, watched TV and stuff. At least that made Kuya happy :)
Went straight to Isarog to wawit for the calls of Babang and Mom. I so love having conversations with Kuya Manolo
Min: Hi Kuya Manolo!
Kuya: Merry Christmas. Bakit?
Min: Masama bang kausapin ko ang pinsan ko?
Kuya: Ahh. Hindi. Min..
Min: Ano?
Kuya: Kulot parin ba buhok mo?
Min: MALAMANG! Ano 'to biglang magiging straight pag pasko??

Hahaha. Laughtrip. Also, had the best conversation with Mom.

Min: Hi Mom!
Mom: Anong gusto mong model ng cellphone or camera?
Min: Ha?
Mom: Nabasa ko blog mo. May gusto ko bang model?
Min: Hahaha!! Wala pa kong alam.

THE MANY WONDERS OF BLOG! =)) Wooohoooooooooo!

^^ Buenviaje Cousins. Noche Buena: Alak. :))

^^MOM! Dad's cheating on you.. =))

^^Walk it out! Drunk.

^^HAHAHAHA! Kuya Vey!

^^We're missing Mom. :[

^^Christmas Day. Kuya Santi&Auntie Margie :)

^^Alcid Cousins! :)

Ho-ho-ho. It's Christmas Season. How do I know? Not because of Simbang Gabi, happy people everywhere(except in schools), carols all around, not even because it's already December in our calendars or even Christmas lights on the streets. Now how then can I say that it's already Christmas?

Nung nakita ko si Sir Geom sa hallway sa school na naka red na polo at Santa hat.

Hahaha. That's for you Patbau. Soo, I'm wondering. Why does it seem that everyone's hooked on Rubik's cube? I don't know in your school but if you enter STC during break time, everyone's holding that smart ass cube. I myself is a self proclaimed wannabe trying hard freak Rubik's cube zealot. And when I got so frustrated of not having the capabilities of solving that darn cube, I asked my very reliable OS friends, "Pano ba i-solve ang Rubik's Cube?! Enlighten me naman."

Patbau: May logarhythms kasi yan.
Cy: ......r squared then d squared..

Yes, I feel the same way. WTF did they just say? Hahaha. During Songfest practices, while everyone was downstairs eating, literally, Me and Cy sitting together was left in the classroom and we're both solving the cube. Of course, she can do it without breaking a sweat. While me on the other hand is shouting and whining. "AHHHHH!! Bakit ganun?? Am I THIS stupid?!". I tell you, everyone that passed by our classroom was amazed that in the midst of silence, we were concentrating on the cube.

Enough cube talk. Let's talk GIFTS. I have a long list of gifts that I want to receive. I do not count on you buying me these stuffs but I just want you to have an idea what's on my mind everytime you ask me what I want for Christmas.

Hate the way I'm feeling now. Black hole.

Yes, I've been forever bad mouthing emos when in fact, today, there was a moment where I, Carmina Buenviaje aka Emo Slayer acted one myself. As in during PE pd, since I was excused due to my "damaged big toe" as the resident nurse would refer, I isolated myself with my friends and sat in the bleachers all alone. In one corner staring out of nowhere with Cy's Chem Ntbk on my lap as props.

Ha-ha. Laugh your head off, doofus. That only lasted for two periods. Finally, I redeemed myself. And starting from my basic principle..

DIE YOU EMO FREAKS! Slash yourself 'til there's no more space left on your skin. Yes, nobody loves you especially if you're wearing eyeliner good enough for a months time. And how can you see the light when your bangs are depriving you of that advantage? I EAT EMO KIDS FOR BREAKFAST. Darn you. Go do suicide or something.

I don't know why I'm still online amid the hassling schedule everyone in school has been experiencing this week and would probably last 'til next week. Everyone's in a hurry, and would witness consistently girls running around the campus searching for the never reachable teachers to submit their requirements. Everyone's lacking time. Even just to stop and greet your friends in the halls. It was during Friday where EVERY SINGLE period we met had either a short quiz, Long Test or Practical Test. No exaggerations. Imagine how brain draining that was. It's unhealthy really. Everyone's so sick of it.

It's been a long time since I've had a nice lunch. Wherein I really took the time to sit and just eat. Nothing else in mind like a book report, TGR, term paper or Long tests to study for. Every lunch at home or in school, it's always the usual scenario. Everyone's sticking their foods in their mouths while concentratingly reviews for a Long Test or is making a project. Barely any talking or any interaction done. Everything's so fast paced to the point where some things don't makes sense anymore. Things lose their essence. It just sucks. I don't wanna get used to this.

Thank goodness I got over my hair disaster. And kudos to this day for making that happen. And to the kind words everyone has been saying despite my grief about my hair.

I shall update you with my life. No choices, dude.

-Last week when I went to the clinic to get my nail covered, the nurse suggested she trim my nail to prevent it from further damage. I agreed since she's the nurse. D'oh. So while she was carefreely cutting my dead nail away, I was amazed by the medicines on the counter. After pondering and reading the impossible to read names of the meds, I looked at my foot and *bleep!* What the hell happened to my nail?!?! There's no more left except the nail bed! I was freaking out so bad! To cut the story short, the nurse took my nail out after a long talk with me about how it will help for the nail to grow faster. BASICALLY, I'm nail-less. It hurts. REALLY. : Hello, slippers! It's me again.

-12/07/07 marks the official SouljaDay. SGO has been founded by the original members namely: Carmina Buenviaje, Cellina Santos, Bea Geronimo and Avery Anatalio. The whole day, we kept dancing SouljaBoy and even have a video of it! Call me if you want tutorials! :))

L-R: Avery.Cel.Bea.Min (Souljagirls)

LET'S NOW TALK ABOUT THIS DAY.
Computer pd.
Task was for everyone to finish the last program we made. Since I'm done with it, I kept on shouting in the midst of silence and concentration from my classmates.

*typy type of keybords and clickety click of mouse*

Min: YOUUUUUU!!! Soulja boy tell'em!! Wooo!
Avery: HAHAHAHA! Gagu ka Min.

Apparently, Avery soon got infected with my hyperness and pretty soon after, we were both dancing in the middle of the halls to the made up beat of SouljaBoy. YOOOUUUU!! Ms. Magaway kept reprimanding us but we had a reason. We're done with the program. So she made us do little chores like turning on the computer of the absentees and stuff. But of course, we all did it while dancing and shouting.

Tapos, with just a blink of an eye, the whole SGO was all in front of the CAI room performing. Hahaha. The class can't help but laugh. We were dancing in front and singing.

Min: THANK YOU ARANETA!! WOO!
SGO's: SUPERMAN THAT HOE!!!
Ms.Magaway: Ang kukulit niyo!

Why thanks you ;)

English pd.
Topic: Merhcant of Venice- Lorenzo's Speech

*Avery and the class knows this. SALAMAT talaga :)) I'm not even going to say it here. Masyado mo akong hiniritan man. =))

Soc Sci pd.
Topic: American Revolution

Sir R: Ano nga ba yung nakalagay na quote sa baba ng mga test questionaires niyo last time?
Us: "History repeats itself because no one was paying attention the first time"
Marge: Ha? Ano daw?
Min: *sarcastic mode* Love is blind daw.
Sir R: Ano po yun? Love is blind so love me?

Wala akong sinasabing ganun. Wehhpal ka :))
**Had a pictorial afterSongfest practice in the lawn. Check this shiznits out:

We Love STC :)

I am surrounded by smart people.

That thought kept rambling in my mind for the last 2 weeks or so. But it was just this week that I finally went over the edge and am currently writing this entry.

Yesterday during Group Guidance period, Mrs. De Lara called for Patbau, Cy and Mimi in front and gave them a piece of paper. Patbau sat next to me after receiving it.

Min: Ano yan?
Patbau: Invitation sa Ateneo.

It was at the later part of the day that I found out it was for AJSS or Ateneo Junior Summer Seminar.

Commercial: WHAT IS AJSS, you ask?

How can I explain this? It's like this. 5 Junior high school students in different schools will be picked and on January, they will all take this test in Ateneo. If they do pass that test, they will attend a seminar on summer. Thus, Ateneo Junior SUMMER SEMINAR. Get it? And what's the catch in passing the test? Oh, nothing really. Just that you have a guaranteed spot in Ateneo until you finish High School and will not have to experiece going through the dreading ACET during their Senior year in HS.

Good luck guys :D

So there, I'm mostly friends with smart, more specifically, OS people. In my family, maybe more than half of them are smart-asses too. Let's start with Mom. She graduated from UP Diliman and she's got to be the smartest woman I would ever meet in my whole existence. Ate Ana is a Dean's List in La Salle and awarded Second Honors during this sem. Dad on the other hand never ceases to amaze me too. He loves reading Reader's Digest and watching Animal Planet, National Geographic and Discovery Channel. He just loves to feed his mind. I adore his thoirst for knowledge.

BUT ME. What happened? Even I'm clueless. Maybe when God showered knowledge, I was laying on my bed being a bum.

Friends, family. Please. I beg you, share with me your brains. :))

"Akalain mong naging fan ako ng Claret?!"
Yes, I too, myself, was shocked. But let's get back to that at the later part of this entry. As most of you are aware of, yesterday was the day Skechers Streetdance Battle 3 took place. Actually it was just last year that I got hooked on this competition. So this year was no exception. Me and Den just had to go and witness this LIVE.
Can you all please allow me to skip on the process getting to Araneta because dammit, I'm getting pissed again. Let's just hop over to the fun part. Me + Den = CHAOS. Everybody knows that. But when we're both in a cab running out of time? That you have to see. You probably would've reacted like Manong Driver laughing like hell at the sight of us. It was already 5:55pm and we're still in Godknowswhere and the event starts at 6:00pm.
Den&Min: AHHH!! Kuuuuyaaa!! Lateee naaa kaamiiiii! Biliiisss!
Manong Driver: Hahaha. Hindi yun magsisimula ng wala kayo.
And it just keeps getting worse. Not only was it traffic but we ran out of gas that we had to stop for a few minutes until the engine lives again. Yes, bad luck was with us. Great.
-S-K-I-P-

Southville made me sleep. No offense. Anyways, all girls school was great. St.Paul Pasig, Miriam, Poveda and of course SHS. Damn. I can't help cheering for Holy Spirit. Hey, I came there. They taught me how to speak in fluent English there. :))
MY 3 BETS:
XAVIER? Awesome. Superb. Amazing. Jaw-dropping. Immensely great. CHAMPION potencial. My bet that night.
Claret? Ka-interact namin.
Miriam? Well-coordinated. Angas. Synchronized. Equally great as the 2 schools above.
...Hahaha. Joke. Claret was one of my bets too. They were good. SUPER. Hataw. But according to Gian, HOT-aw. :))
Imagine me and Den, leaning back in our chairs and saying that. Hahaha. JUDGES amp. Nakakaasar yung katabi ko. Biased. Ewan. Sarap pagtripan. Sabay pa kaming humihirit. Epaaal. :)) Me and Den got hungry and checked our wallets and what did we see both? A shiny, crispy, orange-y twenty pesos! Tawa kami ng tawa. We got broke that much. Pa wallet wawllet pa kami bente pesos lang naman pala laman.
"Den, may barya kaya sila para sa P20?"
Hahaha. Poor. Hampas lupa. Indio. Kadiri. Walang kwenta. Epal.

Labo. So yeah, I made an observation and it was true. Everytime I'm in Araneta Coliseum, my sanity and dignity wears off. Yesterday, Den dared me to stand up and dance if I heard a song that I like. Siyempre ginawa ko. Tawa ng tawa si Den. :))
One of my favorite part was the Showdown thing: AHS vs Xavier vs Claret. Of course, Xavier won on that one.
RESULTS:
High School Division
Champion: St. Mark's something
Runner-up: Ateneo High School
2nd Place: School of the Holy Spirit

College Division
Champion: University of the Philippines-Diliman
Runner-up: Ateneo de Manila University
2nd Place: Mapua Institute of Technology

Congrats everyone. But I still and will always believe Xavier should've been the champion and Claret and MC should have a place : SEE Y'ALL NEXT YEAR! :D
